Snow Shrine Near the end of your adventure some of the eight chosen warriors have to visit the Snow Shrine in search for the Stargem Sword. No one else than Goldark and Wein are allowed to enter here. Be prepared to encounter the undead brother of Goldark called Gyzzdark and a dragon general with 50 dragonmen here. |
Sophnik In case you are playing Junon's story, Sophnik Castle will be occupied by Golem, a wannabe ruler of Tristan. Get rid of him and station a more intelligent general here in search for the Gaia Sword, an item that can be equipped by fighters and knights as well. |
Tristan Capital of the Tristan Empire and starting point in Junon's adventure. It is rumored to house Flying Crests like all the Tristan castles more than castles in all the other kingdoms. |
Blazart Belonging to the Tristan Empire, Blazart Castle is located in the northern part of Legendra. It is well known that mainly statues like Astea Statues or Dragon Statues can be found here in Domestic Mode. |
Starfall The castle of Starfall guards the southern entrance to the Tristan Empire. All invaders have to pass here if they want to avoid the way via Topaz and Leon's monk troops. |
Topaz While in former times all roads leaded to Rome, in Legendra you can say that this is true for Topaz, too. This fact makes it a bit difficult for Leon to defend his capital castle. No special items here but an assortment of various ones. |
Gasparl In Leon's adventure Gasparl Castle is the home of the Liberation Army formed by Dayn, Kodiak, Myria, and Wriph. Try to get it well guarded because troops coming from Tristan Empire normally try to invade Topaz Kingdom from the east and not from the north. |
Claystal Lying in the northernmost part of Palemoon Kingdom this castle will be under attack by Tristan forces frequently. Try to avoid a multiple downgrading of the castle's level because three of your heroes (Junon, Leon, Mikhal) will have to use Claystal to refill their troops before visiting Cape Shrine and afterwards. |
Cape Shrine Near the end of your adventure some of the eight chosen warriors have to visit the Cape Shrine in search for the Moon Cane. No one else than Junon, Leon, and Mikhal are allowed to enter here. Be prepared to encounter Gaul and two dragon generals with 50 dragonmen each here. |
Roguewar The castle of Roguewar lies between the two capitals of Topaz and Fandaria like a pearl on a string together with Nikeral and Estonia. No more no less. |
Nikeral Estonia and Nikeral guard the way to and from Fandaria and will be under constant attacks once you hold them. To prevent the castles from running low of troops refill you might try to station some more intelligent generals here that can fortify the castles from time to time. If you are in need of the Murasame Sword (STR +10) you have to search here because this item can't be found anywhere else. |
Estonia Nikeral and Estonia guard the way to and from Fandaria and will be under constant attacks once you hold them. To prevent the castles from running low of troops refill you might try to station some more intelligent generals here that can fortify the castles from time to time. No special items to be found here. |

Shadow Tower
Haserudo Only in the Playstation2 version of Dragon Force the hidden character Haserudo can be found here. He, like Iris and Matsuri, will present you a book with a level-boost effect once you have beaten him. Although being close to Goldark's Empire, nothing will happen if you confront him with Goldark before he has visited Iris and Matsuri. More information inside the section VIP's / Hidden. |
Vangal The dragon man Vangal is one of the hidden characters in Legendra. He can be found in different places depending on the storyline you are playing. You have just revealed his location for Reinhart. Vangal won't appear in Goldark's story. Beware, shortly after Vlad has joined, you have to battle another fierce dragon man called Zado and his 100 dragonmen. |
Ginan A general called Nelson and his friends (Erin and Mileen) are living inside Ginan Castle in Goldark's adventure. Attack them to get some more generals for your troops. But beware, all of them are not of the reliable sort and may desert from time to time if they are getting unhappy. In the Playstation2 version of the game you may stock up your troops here before facing Haserudo who hides in the village right north of here. |
Fandaria Home of Goldark and starting point if you play his story, this castle is the capital of the Fandarian Empire. And that's all what we need to know about it! |
Bloodly Bloody lies in the Fandarian Empire and the only reason to mention this remote place is that you have to gather your eight chosen warriors here to face Madruk who hides inside Mt. Ruinlegde. Various items might be found here if a general with INT 70 or above is searching it during Domestic Mode. |
Stoic Goldark has to face Talon and his forces in this castle in case you have chosen Goldark's storyline to play. Nothing else can be said about Stoic Castle. |
Stalwart You have to pass Stalwart Castle on your way to Tradnor, the capital of Tradnor Kingdom. Due to its location it might be attacked very often by forces coming from the north, south and east. Use Tradnor to stock up supplies if those of Stalwart are running low. |
Royal During Mikhal's story the evil ninja Kyoem resides in this castle with his generals Kumonn and Sayaka. You may use this fact for your advantage, because they block all attacks from Fandaria. So you can conquer Bozack first and return here later if you have enough generals to station here against the constant attacks from Fandaria Empire. The best Ninja weapon (Kamui Blade) can be found here, boosts STR +8. |
Izumo Mikhal's home is the capital of Izumo Nation. Besides that no interesting facts are known about Izumo Castle. |
Eternal This castle is the southern entrance to Izumo Nation. If you want to find items for your Samurai generals, you may find swords like the Moonbeam Sword here. |
Tradnor Tradnor is the capital of Tradnor Kingdom and home of Reinhart. The only road leading to Tradnor is that from Stalwart. As the distance between both castles is small, you can easily stock up supplies here once the reserves of the smaller Stalwart have run out. Tradnor is known to keep spears like the Tempest within its walls. This item grants extra defence in Duells. |
Lightan Zanon and his generals (Grudar, Veltarna, Yuri) are living in Lightan Castle. Zanon is in possesion of the sword Eclisis, that stocks up his power unlimited. If you are able to drive him and his followers out of Lightan, they will return here continious until a special event in the storyline. This is as a nice leveling up opportunity for your eight warriors. Inside Lightan Castle Dark Claws can be found. They can be used by monk generals and boost up STR by +7. |
Mikeral Due to its location as a passthrough from west to east and from north to south Mikeral castle it will be under attack quite often independent which storyline you are playing. So keep it well stocked up with generals if you are holding Mikeral. Unlike some other castles a range of various crests can be found here instead of only one like Magicka or Crystal. |
Shirox and Hayate Shirox as well as Hayate hide here. Both can be found by all rulers except Goldark. First you meet Shirox, a student of Hayate. On your second visit here you'll encounter Hayate. He and Shirox will join after the fight, no matter if you win or loose. Oh, I nearly forgot, in case you beat Shirox, you will get some Strategic Runes from Hayate. |
Vangal The dragon man Vangal is one of the hidden characters in Legendra. He can be found in different places depending on the storyline you are playing. You have just revealed his location for Mikhal. Vangal won't appear in Goldark's story. Beware, shortly after Vlad has joined, you have to battle another fierce dragon man called Zado and his 100 dragonmen. |
Sardia Except that Sardia Castle is known to be a place where the Igneous Axe can be found not much can be told about this castle. Just one fact I nearly forgot, in Gongos' story Sardia is the home of Gunner and his army (Norse, Rykker, Silva) which are the first generals Gongos has to beat. |
Bozack Being capital of the Bozack Nation is the most important fact about this castle. You should stock up your supplies and troops here during the end of the adventure before and after Gongos, Reinhart and Teiris have explored the Forest Shrine. Bozack Castle has enough men available for recruiting even more than 200 men after the three heroes return from the shrine. No special items are to be found here. |
Forest Shrine Near the end of your adventure some of the eight chosen warriors have to visit the Forest Shrine in search for the Sun Bracelet. No one else than Gongos, Reinhart, and Teiris are allowed to enter here. Be prepared to encounter Scythe and two dragon generals with 50 dragonmen each here. |
Vangal The dragon man Vangal is one of the hidden characters in Legendra. He can be found in different places depending on the storyline you are playing. You have just revealed his location for Teiris and Wein. Vangal won't appear in Goldark's story. Beware, shortly after Vlad has joined, you have to battle another fierce dragon man called Zado and his 100 dragonmen. |
Maryware The castle has an important role while playing Teiris or Wein. All armies invading from the west have to pass Maryware Castle. So the attack rate is very high. Be prepared and stock up your supplies after each victorious battle and have enough generals staying here as long as you don't have the south-western part part of Legendra under your control. A knight called Hikkis resides here in the beginning of Wein's story. He is known for desertion if not treated with respect (awards!!). |
Galfiel Besides being another castle of the Highland Kingdom there is not much to tell about Galfiel Castle. Galfiel will not be attacked much in the beginning because enemies from the north are blocked by Travan and foes coming from the west have to pass Maryware first. No special items but a wide range of them might be found during searches. |
Daiden South of Highland Castle you'll see Daiden which belongs to the Highland Kingdom. Its strategic value is low because of its location on the map. If you are looking for defensive gear, this castle may be worth searching during Domestic Mode, because an item called Battle Armor can be found here. |
Highland This castle is the capital of the Highland Kingdom. Wein will start his adventure here. In case you don't start with Wein, you normally will find him here. Highland Castle has no great strategic value because its location in the eastern outskirts of the Legendra continent. |
Travan
Vangal The dragon man Vangal is one of the hidden characters in Legendra. He can be found in different places depending on the storyline you are playing. You have just revealed his location for Junon, Leon and Gongos. Vangal won't appear in Goldark's story. Beware, shortly after Vlad has joined, you have to battle another fierce dragon man called Zado and his 100 dragonmen. |
Fiend Tower Inside Fiend Tower a bloodsucker called Vlad is waiting for your leader. Only if you are playing Goldark's storyline a visit of the tower is in vain (Vlad will not appear). Vlad's troops are zombies, their number match the active troops of your leader once he/she approaches Fiend Tower. After being beaten, Vlad joins your army, but he will only stay if he is allowed to help rescuing his fiancee Sierra from the clutches of evil Ryskim. He leaves if he's not a part of the rescue team. |
Danyan To upgrade the command levels of your generals, Danyan Castle is the right place to fullfill your plans. The only item that can be found here is the True Ring which adds a whooping +9 to COM. |
Ogrekeep Not much to tell about Ogrekeep Castle except that the only item that you may find here during your Domestic Mode searches is the Death Claw. If you want to add some power to the attacks of your monk general this would be the right item. |
Magicka This location should be visited by one of your generals. After some work you can build Magicka Castle from the ruins. It can be attacked from five sides, so it might be a bit tricky to defend the castle. The location seems to be haunted and is a good place for finding Spirit Crest which are needed to recruit Zombie soldiers. |
Crystal This small castle near Palemoon might be important for your progress because inside here you only find Dragon Crests during Domestic Mode. If you want dragon soldiers for your main generals this is the best place to search. |
Orvue In case you play Teiris' storyline you will encounter Laine, her fiancee Varshyl, Piper, and Nyvkall here. They are hard to beat but if you want to defeat Madruk in the end you have to start somewhere to gain experience. Unlike in some other castles you may find various items here when Searching in Domestic Mode. |
Palemoon This castle is the home of Teiris, Queen of the Palemoon Kingdom. Being in the easternmost location of Legendra, Palemoon has no great strategic importance. No special items can be found here, too. So you might assign a general with intelligence < 70 here as a leader because you won't miss much. |
Iris and Matsuri These two characters only appear in the Playstation2 version of the game. After being defeated they donate your leader a book with a level-up effect. Both should be found before your ruler visits Haserudo (another PS2 version character). For more information refer to the section VIP's / Hidden. |
